Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery


In 2016, Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery was established by Janet McNeil & her daughter, Ashley Bagwell.

Located on a Hwy 84W, this little white house has been expanded & remodeled to accommodate the growth of the bakery into an eatery and now an event venue. From its inception, Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery has been cherished for its classic American baked goods, vintage decor and warm, inviting atmosphere.  Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery strives every day to make beautiful, delicious creations and make customers happy.

 

Our Story

For several years we baked cakes for our friends and church family to raise funds for mission trips.  In January of 2017, God opened the door for our bakery.  We called a local cake house to have them make us a cake (we wanted one that we ourselves didn't have to bake for a change) only to find out they had closed shop and retired.  That is when we had the realization that God may have been trying to lead us in this direction (we bake cakes and found a vacant cake house...no coincidence) so after making some phone calls within a month's time we opened our bakery at this location.  

Approximately a year after opening the "Bakery" side of our business we were again led to open the "Eatery" side; serving a menu of soups, salads, quiches, and crepes reminiscent of a famous local restaurant that closed in 2005.

In these days of mass production, it is rare to find a bakery that devotes itself to quality over quantity. Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery uses only quality ingredients. All of our cakes are made from scratch with the finest ingredients, providing you with cakes of the highest quality.

Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery’s unique creations include traditional made from scratch cakes and contemporary custom designs. Every cake at Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery are created with loving care.  Our cakes are a work of art and every cake tastes as good as it looks.

Simply Cakes Bakery & Eatery is a family-owned business, serving the Wiregrass Area since 2016.
